Pre-Show
The images below show just one of the things that takes place many weeks before the show. Village children are encouraged to "Grow for the Show" and some of the youngsters can be seen here collecting their plants, to grow on ready for entry into the show. This is a Saturday morning event and as you can see people really 'get into it', but quite where the bears escaped from is anybodies guess, let's just hope they stop "eating all the pies", as those T shirts look awfully tight !!!
Other Pre Show happenings include the sale of Schedules and Grand Raffle tickets, plus absolutely loads of work organising the whole event from mobile toilets through to main acts, they all have to be sought and booked, well in advance. Believe it or not "it doesn't just happen" it takes a small core of people a great deal of time to make the day go like clockwork and continue to be the success that it is.
