Notes:
Bored with your current job
and would like a change of career? Unemployed and struggling
to find the right job? Would like to retrain or learn a
new skill? Need a CV and don’t know how to put one
together, or need advice on updating an old CV? Struggle
to fill in application forms? Or get into a state when it
comes to job interviews? Then maybe you should consider
talking to a Careers Adviser at Guidelines.
Guidelines is a careers guidance service, set up by Thanet
College in 1999 with funding from the EU. We’re based
in Margate and provide FREE information, advice & guidance
on learning & career opportunities to adults (20 years
old and upwards) living and/or working in the Isle of Thanet.
Although we are part of Thanet College, the service we provide
is entirely impartial. In addition to our main office in
Margate, our advisers operate from a number of locations
around Thanet – in Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate.
Due to a insufficient public
interest this service has regretfully been discontinued
at Minster until further notice
We are a very small team. But small is definitely beautiful!
Since November 1999, Guidelines has successfully helped
1000s of local people to find the right direction. In May
2003, we were the first information, advice & guidance
service in Kent to be awarded the Matrix Certificate of
Accreditation by the Guidance Accreditation Board. This
is the quality standards award for all IAG service providers.
As from this year (2004), the Kent Guidance Consortium (of
which we are a member) will be our primary funding source,
at least for the next three years.
